B2B live events are a great way to boost your telecom, IT, and cloud company profile while getting valuable face time with clients and prospects. Is a generic hotel meeting room really the best venue for these occasions?
Marketing industry news site FierceCMO recently took a look at two organizations who are thinking outside the box, literally and figuratively.
- What better way to build a tourism business than by showing off your region to visitors? Camp 9600, an annual event hosted by the Breckenridge (CO) Tourism Office, is named after the city’s elevation. The two-day marketing conference for travel industry professionals is aimed at drawing more off-season business. Some event sessions are held outdoors, where lively activities such as hiking and biking provide attendees with some unique networking opportunities.
- Software collaboration community GitHub chose an urban setting for its GitHub Universe event, which was staged at Pier 70, an old San Francisco warehouse with no power or roof. Instead of using traditional booths, GitHub integrated the sponsors with creative art installations for a truly memorable look. For example, knitters were hired to “yarn bomb” picnic benches with sponsor logos, such as Target’s familiar bull’s-eye.
